Every great solution starts with a problem that refuses to be ignored.
For founder MaBelle Bray—equestrian, mother, and former costume designer—that problem was the beautiful chaos of modern life with ADHD. But her solution was informed by something deeper: a family lineage of inventors and innovators who have been solving complex problems for over 150 years.
MaBelle carries the DNA of American ingenuity. Her great-great-grandfather, Mellen Newton Bray (1829-1908), was a pioneering 19th-century inventor who revolutionized manufacturing with his breakthrough rivet-setting machines. With over 50 U.S. patents spanning everything from mechanical tools to fine hardware innovations, Mellen founded the Tubular Rivet & Stud Company and created the first automatic rivet-setting machines for footwear and leather goods—innovations so significant that his early machines are preserved in the Smithsonian Institution today.
On her Paternal side, MaBelle was raised under the influence of Joseph Houghton Plumb, her step-grandfather and a member of the legendary Corning family—the pioneering force behind breakthroughs like Gorilla Glass, Pyrex®, and fiber optics. The Corning legacy reflects an unwavering commitment to material innovation, utility, and shaping the future through science and form.

From Snack Separation to Style Revolution
The spark for by Myriad came from something surprisingly simple: keeping MaBelle's daughter's snacks perfectly separated. But as she began developing that first compartmentalized design, she discovered something transformative. The same organizational system that solved one small problem revolutionized her entire daily experience.
Suddenly, transitioning from daylight errands to evening events became seamless. Everything had its place. Everything was accessible. Everything just worked.
That insight ignited a bigger vision: What if organization could be fashion-forward? What if bringing order to chaos didn't mean compromising on style?
Years of persistence and innovation later, that vision became by Myriad. With over 15 plus patents for her groundbreaking subdivided designs, MaBelle hasn't just created bags—she's pioneered an entirely new philosophy for how we carry our lives.
Heritage That Inspires: Where Names Meet Legacy.
The names of our collections aren't chosen lightly—they're drawn from a lineage of courage, intellect, and unwavering principle that spans generations.
MaBelle's great-great-grandfather, Felice Giacomo Vitale, was a distinguished lawyer and landowner whose story embodies the values we carry forward today. A man who once owned the historic Farfa Abbey, he safeguarded ancient manuscripts by donating precious texts to preserve them for future generations. During World War II, facing mounting pressure, he made the ultimate sacrifice—selling Farfa to Count Volpe so his daughter could find safety within the Vatican. Though this act of protection cost him his life when he was executed by the Nazis for his resistance, his legacy of bravery and devotion to family endures.
Our Alimena collection honors over 2,000 years of noble heritage, with family records housed in Rome's historic libraries documenting a lineage that holds the esteemed title of Marquis. At the heart of the Alimena coat of arms stands the powerful Latin motto "Herculis Labor"—the labor of Hercules—symbolizing heroic endurance, mental fortitude, and triumph over adversity.
Just as Hercules completed his twelve labors through perseverance and courage, this motto reflects the spirit that guides our designs. The family crest tells its own story: lions for honor and strength, serpents representing resilience and the power to overcome, horses as emblems of grace and noble momentum, and celestial icons suggesting divine protection and spiritual clarity.
